Hayden joined Urban Strategies in 2013 after graduating with a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning from the University of Queensland with first class honours. Hayden has now established himself as a distinguished planning consultant, advising some of Queensland’s pre-eminent developers and overseeing complex development applications.
Central to Hayden’s approach is the provision of accurate and commercial town planning advice- distilling complex information for clients in a timely manner. Having successfully negotiated many developments through the regulatory framework, Hayden’s advice and direction on application strategies is trusted and valued.
With experience across South East Queensland, Hayden’s consulting highlights include:
- Managing approvals for various private day hospitals including Springwood Health Hub and Cleveland Health
- Successfully obtaining approvals for some of Queensland’s highest profile medium-high rise luxury residential developments including Glasshouse Burleigh Heads, Moray House New Farm, Natura Burleigh Heads and Arc Toowong
- Negotiating two of Queensland first Incentivising Infill Development Fund (IIDF) agreements, resulting in significant infrastructure charges savings for infill development projects in Moreton Bay and on the Gold Coast
- Overseeing the approvals process for 1,200+ dwellings in the Northern Gold Coast and Ipswich growth corridors, many on constrained sites with complex planning requirements, including a 5ha greenfield site in Coomera
- Using expertise with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to expanded Urban Strategies’ service offerings for clients to include site finding and spatial analysis.
