Principal Town Planner
Emily is a Principal Town Planner of Urban Strategies.
Emily has a range of planning experience having worked in both the public and private sector, with past experience in Queensland and London including within Local Authorities and small private consultancies. The experience gained in these roles has included both development assessment and strategic planning.
As a result Emily has a comprehensive working knowledge of planning legislation relevant to Queensland and is experienced in working on a wide range of planning and development projects. These collective experiences have provided a skill base where the roles of assessing as well as preparing development applications have been practised.
Further to her diverse experience in development application types, Emily has had the opportunity to be involved in the preparation of an array of residential, commercial, industrial and community use proposals across Queensland. This has assisted in developing a highly competent knowledge of State and local planning and associated legislative instruments.
Emily’s role at Urban Strategies includes site investigations, preparation and management of development applications, interpretation of legislation, consultant management, clientele management, reviewing reports and correspondence, and mentoring of junior staff.
